{"id":108,"count":2,"description":"<p class=\"p1\">Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 360 km\u00b2 wildlife conservancy in Laikipia County, central Kenya, located between Mount Kenya and the Aberdares. Originally established as a cattle ranch during the colonial period, the property later developed into a major wildlife conservation area and was renamed Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Today, it is particularly famous for its black and white rhinos and for being home to the last two northern white rhinos in the world, which are protected under intensive conservation and scientific programmes. The conservancy also hosts lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, leopards and many other species. Ol Pejeta combines wildlife conservation, livestock production, tourism and community development, making it an important example of integrated conservation in Kenya.
